Before settling in Stillwater Township in 1991, Raymond spent his formative years in Edison and a brief time in Fort Lee. A Master Butcher and frequent guest on the Rachael Ray Show since 2007, he has also written a book titled “The Everyday Meat Guide” before deciding to retire. Family was very important to Raymond, and he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

At the age of 63, Raymond Michael Venezia, Jr. passed away at Newton Medical Center on August 22, 2022. He grew up and currently resides in Stillwater.

Raymond Venezia was born on April 21, 1959 to parents Raymond and Dolores (Compte) Venezia in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Raymond grew up in Edison, moved briefly to Fort Lee, and finally settled in Stillwater Township in 1991. Raymond loved his children and grandchildren and was always eager to spend time with them. Tomorrow evening at 7 o’clock, there will be a funeral.

Until his resignation in 2017, he was a Master Butcher, and he frequently appeared on the Rachael Ray Show. In addition, he wrote the novel The Everyday Meat Guide. Raymond was a hard worker who also valued his family. Raymond used his retirement to fulfil a lifelong ambition of his: to create a private paradise for his family and friends in the great outdoors. The son of Raymond Venezia and Dolores (Compte) Venezia, Raymond was born on April 21, 1959, in Elizabeth. Raymond spent his formative years in Edison, then moved to Fort Lee for a while before finally settling in Stillwater Township in 1991.

Before he retired, he was a Master Butcher, had a novel titled “The Everyday Meat Guide” published, and had appeared on multiple segments of the Rachael Ray Show since 2007. For Raymond, nothing was more important than spending time with his kids and grandkids. Raymond’s retirement was spent doing what he loved most: working in the garden he’d designed to be an oasis for his family.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dorean; his father, Raymond Venezia; his three children and their spouses; his sisters, Susan Hays-Venezia and Leslie Masone and her husband, Craig; and his four granddaughters, Chelsea, Lydia Rae, Rosie, and a new grandchild on the way.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, their three children (sons Austin and Raymond Michael Venezia, III, daughter Jennifer, and sister Susan Hays-Venezia and her husband, Craig Masone), and their four daughters (granddaughters Chelsea, Lydia Rae, Rosie, and an unborn grandchild).

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home in Newton, New Jersey on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. Instead of flowers, you could make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
