Arthur Zwane Son /\ According to Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane, 20-year-old midfielder Samkelo Zwane came very close to making his debut with Amakhosi. The Chiefs defeated to Royal AM in the Macufe Cup shootout after the game ended 1-1 in regulation. Zwane, the son of former Orlando Pirates and Jomo Cosmos midfielder Eugene Zwane, made his first team debut in the loss.
The 20-year-old midfielder has received praise in recent months, and head coach Zwane admitted that he was considering giving him his first start for the senior team against Swallows to send a message to the other young players in the Reserves and U19. However, when the Dube Birds scored again, the game became extremely close.
We just played a very excellent game over the weekend, and heading into this game we’re certainly playing against a team coming in fresh,” Zwane speculated about the possibility of fatigue.
“At some point, if we’re not going to control the game well, we’re going to drop. That’s why we intended to make some changes at some point, but once we gave up that goal, we had to lock the game in order to preserve some of our players for Cape Town.
The youthful Samkelo Zwane, Mshini, and maybe Bibo were going to be brought in to replace Cole, but we needed players like Njabulo [Blom]. But alas, we were put under duress; we had to be certain, we had to bring in experienced hands to seal the deal and make certain we consolidated.
Our team just won the Engen Champ of Champions, and Wandile [Duba] has been scoring goals left and right, so we really want to give these young players a chance. Incorporating younger players into the starting lineups in games like this provides those still playing in the U19s and Reserves a reason to believe that they can make the big leagues.
That’s why we decided to try for a third goal in the hopes of ending the game. We had a chance to put the game out of reach and give some of our younger players a chance to play, which would help foster the kind of environment in which we hope to play and would give those players a boost of confidence.
We needed to consolidate and make sure we got maximum points, so we couldn’t toss them in at that time.
The Chiefs, who have moved up to fifth position in the standings, will play the sixth-placed Stellenbosch FC in Cape Town on Sunday at 15:30 local time at the DHL Stadium.
In 1993, while playing for Roy Matthews, Arthur Zwane made his professional debut in the quarterfinals of the BobSave Super Bowl against Giyani Classic. After Cosmos were demoted in 1993, Zwane stayed with the team and played for them. With Cosmos, he won the NSL Division 2 championship in 1994. It’s not too bad that someone at Naturena is set to spend their late nights preparing baby milk bottles and changing diapers; after all, children are a blessing.
Family and friends of the assistant coach for the Kaizer Chiefs spent a lot of time in recent days organising a baby shower for him or her. Knowing that Arthur Zwane and his stunning partner Mpho Raven Dube were expecting prompted this action. However, despite the fact that they are about to welcome a new member into their family, the pair has chosen to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. Lucky for us, one of the guests at the expensive baby shower decided to document the event online.
It was clear that Mpho Raven Dube had her greatest appearance ever because she was the focus of so much attention that day. She was wearing a stunning black dress for the occasion. Guests came bearing gifts, as it was clear that today was the day to shower Mpho with attention and adulation. It appears she is expecting her first kid based on the captions she has been using on social media.
Since then, the gender of the baby has not been disclosed, despite the fact that very little details about the pregnancy and the infant have been made public. As football fans, all we can do is pray that this lovely couple is blessed with a son, who will one day replace Arthur Zwane on the soccer field.
While we may not know the gender of the baby until after birth, we are looking forward to celebrating the arrival of this new addition to our family regardless of the baby’s sex. The Kaizer Chiefs’ goalkeeping coach, Lee Baxter, recently welcomed a son, and it appears like the coaches are getting married and having kids.
